In a rare occurrence, a Clackamas County DA dismissed a Jessica’s Law (25 year mandatory minimum) case filed against a prominent local physician on the eve of trial. The dismissal was the direct result of defense counsel’s exhaustive investigation, which produced exonerating witnesses and expert medical evidence from a nationally recognized doctor. After reviewing the defense evidence, the District Attorney’s Office concluded that the case should be dismissed.
